This is invalid because college students should already be motivated to succeed and move forward with their career due to the fact that they are the ones paying and working hard to receive their education. Moreover, when they like to study, they will put in themselves more effort and they will be even better in studying to get a best result.

In order to graduate I have to complete credits. If students have complete freedom to choose their own courses the majority of them will not take the classes they should take that go with their major.

What would happen if my childhood high school instituted these policies? Choosing my own classes will give me a freedom to evaluate myself and as I know my knowledge and understanding, I can take only the amount of credits and subjects which will challenge me but not be a burden.

I highly disagree with the current school-system because of several reasons. I support the vision of students having themselves to choose their own courses. I am a full time student, and my major is Mechanical engineering. In order to graduate I have to complete. Most students would not take classes that is needed for their intended major. College students may not be mature enough to choose their own courses.

College students could of chose a class that was above their knowledge level so they weren't scoring good enough on their final exams. College students should not have the complete freedom to choose their own courses since they will choose the easiest classes, a class that will not go with their major, and classes that they will excel in.

The school would adapt to offer extensive new training and support in the realm of meta-learning (i.e., learning how to learn): independent study skills, work habits, personal organization, research, and self-reflection on which courses to choose.
